Le Défi · Challenge
The question at the beginning.
Construction of a system that integrates remote monitoring of solar generation facilities with generation and supply-demand forecasting. Beyond the technology, the work required moving the connection to on-site operation, the recovery process when forecasts erred, and the skill development of operators — technology and organization, in parallel.
L'Approche · The Approach
How we wove it.
Integrated design of IoT monitoring and forecasting models
We integrated telemetry from generation facilities with meteorological data, providing real-time monitoring and supply-demand forecasting on a single platform — including the adjustment process when forecast error occurs.
Skill development for on-site operators
In parallel with system rollout, we designed an upskilling program for operations personnel. Through education, we built the new system into a state where it would actually be used on the ground.
Revenue design at the level of the whole business
We designed the system not as a standalone product but as a mechanism for raising business revenue through operational efficiency. Management indicators and system indicators were bound directly to one another.
Actions · The work undertaken
- ·IoT system planning and development
- ·Operator training program delivery
Résultats · Key outcomes
- ▸Substantial reduction in operational headcount
- ▸Material contribution to revenue creation across the engagement period
Le Résultat · The Outcome
What was woven.
Operational headcount was compressed substantially while contributing meaningfully to revenue creation across the engagement. The system was rolled out across multiple generation sites and became the operational standard.
L'Apprentissage · The Lesson
“The true value of an industry-specific system resides not in the code but in the renewal of operations on the ground. IoT is not technology — it is the apparatus that translates the language of operation.”
